Basic Refurbishment

A & T Bells, Inc. Basic Refurbishment for all American and European handbells is a complete and all-inclusive service to protect your handbells and keep them in optimum shape longer. 

We are the only full service facility that offers pickup & delivery service!

We set the bells to approximate factory setting.  Factory parts are used in servicing your bells. We will ask your permission/agreement before we add any parts not included in your service level.  Adjustment may not suit each ringer and may require minor fine-tuning.

You can count on outstanding service from  A & T Bells, Inc. We guarantee customer satisfaction!  Each handbell is carefully disassembled and inspected for worn parts. 

Our service provides replacement for all:

STOP-NUTS * LOCK WASHERS * ANTI-FRICTION WASHERS * BUMPERS

In addition, we replace all:

  NYLINER BUSHINGS and INDEXING PINS * RESTRAINING RINGS  * WEIGHTS  as needed. 

This is so you don't have these parts wearing out at random times before your next Annual Maintenance or Refurbishment.

Great care is given to each bell to ensure it is refurbished correctly.  Hand & Machine cleaning and polishing, both inside & out, are included. Clapper & Spring Tension adjustments are made during reassembly.

Prior to reassembly your handbells are carefully hand washed and then machine and hand polished to a lustrous perfection!  They are then 'voiced' and inner mechanisms are 'fine tuned'. As a final touch, your handbells cases are vacuumed & polished. Bells are returned carefully packed in plastic to protect them from dust and moisture. 

Your bells are returned to you, hand and machined cleaned and polished both inside and out. Castings are checked for timbre and intonation. They are also voiced and inner mechanisms 'fine tuned'. Cases will also be vacuumed & polished.  Replacement of axles and clapper-head screws is included on an 'as needed' basis.

*Pick up & Delivery is $85.00 per octave up to 300 miles round trip. For round trips over 300 miles, $.50 per mile may be added.

Complete Refurbishment

A & T Bells, Inc.'s Complete Refurbishment provides replacement of EVERYTHING except the handbell castings.  This includes all new handles, hand guard discs, and all mechanisms with clappers. Call us for a quote on complete refurbishment of your handbells.
